Factions

Factions are how you team up, claim land, and protect your base. Create one or join with an invite, invite friends, claim territory, and watch your power so enemies cannot raid you.

Live captures and ticket races show up on the events page when a run is active.

Quick start

  1. Create a faction with /f create <name> or join one with /f join <name>.
  2. Invite teammates with /f invite <player>.
  3. Claim land with /f claim when you have enough power and money.
  4. Set a home with /f sethome inside your claim.
  5. Check status anytime with /f who or /f info.

Roles

RolePermissions
LeaderAll officer actions, plus promote, demote, transfer leadership, rename, and disband
OfficerInvite and revoke invites, kick members, claim and unclaim, set or clear home, edit the announcement

Leaders cannot leave without transferring leadership or disbanding first.

Info and chat

CommandWhat it does
/f who [name]Members, power, home, and tokens
/f info [name]Same as /f who (/f show also works)
/f list [page]All player factions, sorted by online members
/f claims [name]Claims with size, world, coordinates, and cost
/f announce <message>Set the faction announcement (officers and leaders; /f announcement also works)
/f chat [channel]Switch chat channels (/f c, /f channel)
/tlShare your coordinates in faction chat (/fl also works)

Power

Power sets how much land you can hold and whether your claims can be raided.

  • Every faction has current power and max power.
  • New factions start with low power and a small max cap.
  • Power regenerates over time when the faction is not frozen.
  • When a member dies, the faction loses power and regeneration pauses for a few minutes.
  • Power can drop as low as -5.

When current power goes below 0, your claims become raidable. Non-members can enter and interact, and subclaimed containers open for anyone. Stay above 0 to keep your base locked down.

Max power grows as members stay active. Online members earn progress toward the next cap, so established factions can hold more land over time. Check power with /f who.

Claiming land

Run /f claim to get a Faction Claiming Stick, then outline your claim:

  1. Left-click a block for the first corner.
  2. Right-click a block for the second corner.
  3. Sneak + left-click to confirm and buy the claim.
  4. Sneak + right-click to reset the selection.

Drop the stick or switch items to cancel. Green border means valid, red means something is wrong.

RuleDetail

System bufferAt least 100 blocks from system claims

Large-claim tax2,300+ blocks costs 25% extra

CommandWhat it does
/f claimStart claiming
/f unclaimRelease the claim you are standing in (80% refund)
/f claims [name]List a faction's claims
/f mapShow nearby claim borders briefly
/f map autoToggle automatic map updates as you move

You must stand inside a claim to unclaim it.

Land protection

Inside a sealed (non-raidable) claim, only faction members can break or place blocks, open doors and containers (unless subclaimed), and use redstone, signs, item frames, and similar blocks. Explosions, fire spread, piston grief, and most indirect damage are blocked too.

Walking between territories shows an Entering or Leaving message with the faction name and type.

Subclaims

Subclaims lock individual containers so only certain members can open them.

  1. Place a sign on or beside the container.
  2. Write [Subclaim] on the first line.
  3. On lines 2-4, list who gets access:
    • Leader for leader only
    • Officer for officers and the leader
    • A player's username for that member

You can only subclaim inside your own faction land.

WhoAccess
LeaderAlways, unless the sign says otherwise
OfficerYes, unless the sign is leader-only
Named memberYes, if their name is on the sign

Faction home

Set a home inside your claim so members can teleport back.

CommandWhat it does
/f sethomeSet home at your location (/f sethq also works)
/f unsethomeRemove the home
/f homeTeleport home (/f hq also works)

Home must be inside your claim. If enemies from another faction are within 32 blocks, teleport takes a 10-second warmup. It is instant when you are inside your own claim with no nearby enemies, or on entry servers. PvP protection blocks faction home on wilderness and PBE servers. Moving during warmup cancels the teleport.

System territories

Some land belongs to the server, not players.

TypeWhat it means
SafezoneNo PvP. Combat-tagged players cannot enter.
LandmarkProtected server territory. Cannot be claimed.

Keep new claims at least 100 blocks away from system territory.

Timers

Active timers show on your sidebar scoreboard.

/f stuckTeleport out of a claim you are trapped in (warmup required, must be inside a claim)

Combat-tagged players cannot enter safezones. PvP protection blocks entry into other factions' sealed claims.

Event tokens

Factions earn tokens from network events. Tokens show on /f who and can be spent in the marketplace. Check the events to track active events.

Run /f with no arguments for the full in-game command list. /f is shorthand for /faction. applied like class and event limits.
