Economy

Money powers trading, player payments, faction land claims, and the in-game marketplace. Each player has a personal wallet, and each player faction has a shared treasury.

Quick start

  1. Check your wallet with /balance or /bal.
  2. Send money to another player with /pay <player> <amount>.
  3. Deposit into your faction with /f deposit <amount> if you are an officer or leader.
  4. Right-click a merchant NPC to open the marketplace.
  5. View your faction balance and tokens on /f who.

See factions for claiming land and event tokens.

Personal wallet

Every player has their own balance on the network.

  • Balances support decimal amounts.
  • You cannot pay yourself.
  • You need enough money in your wallet before a purchase or payment goes through.
CommandWhat it does
/balanceShow your balance (/bal also works)
/pay <player> <amount>Send money to another player

When you pay someone who is online, they get a message showing what you sent.

Faction treasury

Player factions also have a shared balance. This is separate from your personal wallet.

  • Officers and leaders can deposit and withdraw.
  • Claim costs are paid from the faction balance when land is confirmed.
  • Unclaim refunds go back to the faction balance.
  • Faction members can see the balance on /f who.
  • When a faction is disbanded, any remaining balance goes to the leader.
CommandWhat it does
/f deposit <amount>Move money from your wallet into the faction balance
/f withdraw <amount>Move money from the faction balance to your wallet

Members cannot deposit or withdraw unless they are an officer or leader.

Claim costs

Land claims are bought with faction money, not from your personal wallet. The price is shown before you confirm a claim.

Make sure the faction treasury has enough money before confirming. See factions for claiming rules.

Marketplace

The marketplace is where you buy and sell items through merchant NPCs placed around the map. There are no player commands for shopping. You use menus instead.

How to shop

  1. Find a merchant NPC in the world.
  2. Right-click the merchant to open their shop list.
  3. Click a shop to browse its items.
  4. Use the item menu to buy or sell.
ActionWhat it does
Left-click an itemBuy one listing
Right-click an itemSell one listing
Shift + left-clickBuy as many listings as your inventory can hold
Shift + right-clickSell as many matching listings as you have

Each item shows buy and sell prices in the menu lore when that option is available. Items marked NOT FOR SALE cannot be purchased.

Shop currencies

Shops can use one of two currencies.

CurrencyWhere it comes fromUsed for
MoneyYour personal walletMost general shops
Event tokensYour faction's token balance from eventsEvent reward shops

Money shops charge your personal wallet. Event token shops charge your faction's token balance, so you must be in a faction to buy from them.

Check /f who to see your faction's token count. Tokens are earned from network events. See the events page when a run is active.

Buying and selling rules

  • You need enough money or tokens before a purchase completes.
  • You need enough inventory space to receive bought items.
  • To sell, you must have matching items in your inventory.
  • Sell prices only apply to items that match the shop listing.
  • If a shop only has a buy price, you cannot sell that item there.
  • If a shop only has a sell price, you cannot buy that item there.

If something fails (not enough funds, no inventory space, or no matching items), you get a chat message and nothing is taken.
